Reports to: Director of Coaching
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Goalkeeper Coach to join our staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in goalkeeping, excellent communication skills, experience training young kids, and the ability to develop and implement effective training programs. The Goalkeeper Coach will work closely with the Head Coach and other staff members to enhance the performance of our goalkeepers at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training and Development:
- Design and deliver specialized training sessions for goalkeepers at various levels.
- Focus on technical skills, tactical understanding, physical conditioning, and mental preparation.
- Conduct group training sessions tailored to the needs of the goalkeepers at various levels.
- Player Evaluation:
- Assess the performance and progress of goalkeepers regularly.
- Provide constructive feedback and set development goals for goalkeepers.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Director of Coaching, and other staff members, to ensure a cohesive approach to player development.
- Communicate effectively with goalkeepers, providing clear instructions and motivation.
Qualifications:
- Required former Goalkeeping experience or experience as Goalkeeper coach.
- Hold a coaching license/qualification (preferred).
- Strong understanding of the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of goalkeeping.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills to effectively work with players of all ages.
- Experience working with students or children in educational or recreational settings.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
